5 signs you're not enjoying Christmas as much as you could be

1.The "fun stuff" feels like a massive to-do list
Yes you want to “make the most of the time” but is your quest to do everything sucking the fun out of things?
2. You're overwhelmed
There's too much to think about.
Buying the presents.
Thinking what to buy before you can buy them.
Wrapping the presents.
All the cards.
The tree.
Seeing all the people you only see once a year.
Going to the Christmas Markets.
Making the Christmas cake…
And all of it feels essential. Even if it's exhausting you.
3. You're craving time on your own.
See above list. You’re exhausted.
And you feel like the only way to "reset" is 24 hours on your own. Or a week tbh, but let's be realistic here.
4. You're stressed about when to decorate the tree
This is one of my favourite parts of Christmas.
But I used to get SO stressed about when to do this.
Not too early, because the tree will look tired by Christmas Day, but not too late because you want to enjoy it for as long as possible.
Which leaves a pretty small window between the Christmas markets and visiting your Great-Grandma on the first weekend in December. Do you squeeze it in that 2 hour gap, or accept it’ll be a week later?! 😭
5. You're looking forward to January so you can chill
And it's not that you don't love Christmas, it's just that it's a lot and there so much pressure to get everything right at Christmas. It is only once a year after all.
Tell me honestly, how many of these do you have?
Maybe you’re more mindful than I was!
