You’re a hard-working professional who keeps waiting for work to “get quieter next month”.
You know something’s got to give, but keeping on top of your emails in the evening is the only thing keeping the work day manageable.
You think you’re good at your job, hard-working and productive, so it’s starting to affect your self-esteem when you can’t keep on top of the work within normal hours.
You start to wonder if you’re the problem, if you should be better focused at work.
You know you’d probably get more done if you spent more time focusing on just one thing at a time, rather than bouncing between emails, Teams and your massive to-do list…
But it’s so hard to do that when you’re already exhausted from being pulled in so many different directions 😫
You end up feeling guilty that you didn’t achieve more.
And it’s turning a job you used to love into something you now dread.
Let’s do something about it
What if the colleague that seems to effortlessly float through the work day and take on new tasks with a simple “yeah sure I can do that”, wasn’t naturally like that?
You see her smile when she arrives in the office every morning, leave promptly at 5pm and STILL seems to get everything done on time.
And she loves being given a new client to work with, something to get her teeth stuck into - the way you did when you started this job, before you got too busy.
Fact check coming in for you: people aren’t born super productive, calm and with a positive but healthy mindset.
They learn to be that way.
And even if they’re doing it subconsciously, they’re applying some or all of my 5 SOAR (Switch-Off And Relax) principles.
If you want to be like them, you need to learn how.
I’ve created a free podcast event for subscribers to The Mindful Living Academy.
I know you’re super busy and don’t want to spend your evening sitting on zoom.
So instead, you'll get five 10-15 minute podcast episodes which you can either binge, or spread out over 5 days.
Listen on your way to work, at the gym or when washing the dishes - whenever suits you.
Then check back in when you’re done to ask any questions in the comments section.
