Hello, I'm Mel. Im a Veterinary Nurse and I qualified 12 years ago. Last year I was made redundant and left a work place that I knew inside out. I started a new job in practice 3 months ago with a great team but cannot seem to trust myself at all. I really want to start being mindful and start to enjoy my job instead of questioning everything I do. I really enjoyed the SOAR podcasts x
Hi Mel, lovely to hear more about you although I'm really sorry to hear about the redundancy. It sounds like it's a good time to have signed up as we're focusing on Untangling Imposter Syndrome, along with the extra personalised EFT meditation you'll get, and I look forward to hearing how things start to feel a bit different x
Hi, I'm Harriet. I've been trying to live more mindfully for the past year or so, helped by a workshop with Lucy. I've recently realised I've not been as consistent with this and am more aware of my overthinking and daily exhaustion by my job as a vet so looking forward to more regular practice and motivation for sticking with the mindful living.
So pleased this is a way for you to have a regular practice and keep being motivated with your practice - I hope it helps with the daily exhaustion and I'm happy to be in this journey with you x
Hi I’m Bella, and I’ve been in practice over 18 years…..but seem to have reached a bit of a midlife crisis point, complicated by perimenopause. I’m out of work at the moment, and have been considering leaving the profession altogether, for various reasons. I enjoyed the SOAR podcasts, there were several points raised that resonated with me, and I’m hopeful that learning how to be more mindful with less judgement will help me to move forwards & take control of my life again.
Thanks so much for sharing Bella, it's wonderful to have you here 🙏 learning to have less judgement is massive in accepting ourselves, and our feelings, exactly where we are, and if we can do that, it becomes easier to move forwards. I look forward to seeing how mindfulness makes it's way into your life and how that feels for you x
Hi, my name is Claire and I'm 5 years qualified as a vet . I'm starting to hit the dreaded 5 year slump that seems to be a common thing in our industry . I really enjoyed the SOAR podcast and could see how if I started being more mindful inside and outside of work, it might help me rediscover the reasons I wanted to be a vet and could get help me develop a better work-life balance. I want to be able to enjoy work when I'm in it but also at the same time , learn to forget about it when I'm out of it and enjoy my free time without having intrusive thoughts of work. I'm hoping Momentum will be give me the tools to start doing so!
Thanks so much for sharing Claire and a wonderful reason to want to join - to enjoy more of work and life! I'm grateful to be on this journey with you and look forward to seeing how mindfulness works in your life x
Hello, my name is Laura. I graduated from vet school a year ago and have been working in my current job for 10 months. I really enjoyed the SOAR podcast. I have joined Momentum because I want to learn to manage the stressful situations at work, be mindful and even begin to enjoy them :)
Welcome Laura, thanks so much for sharing 🥰 sounds like the first month on enjoying work even when it's stressful is exactly the kind of thing you're looking for so I look forward to hearing how it goes for you x
