We have to be willing to communicate our needs and expectations clearly and compassionately. This doesn't guarantee that they'll always be met, but it opens the door for deeper understanding and connection.
Yes totally doesn't mean our needs will be met, but this process alone has massively transformed my relationship with this person. I definitely kept assuming they knew what was on my mind and got angry they didn't do what I wanted - until I started calmly communicating that with them 🤷♀️ such a simple thing!
