Hi lovely people,
As requested, this month we’re looking at reducing procrastination. Note that I’ve said reducing, not stopping! We all do it, we just want to learn to manage it 🥰
My imposter syndrome certainly got the better of me on this one, and I found myself procrastinating on planning this month. Ironic, I realise.
It turned out to be a great lesson; I observed how I overcame it and did some research, and was encouraged to find that my strategies from mindfulness, are backed up by the psychologists.
So today, we’re talking about
Noticing when you’re procrastinating, because you can’t treat something you can’t see
Identifying why you’re procrastinating, because you can’t treat something you haven’t diagnosed
And what actually IS procrastination, and why should I stop?! Just in case you’re in the camp of “I think it helps me”.
As always, come back here after and share in the comments
Your biggest lesson
What you’ll do differently; maybe here you could share when and why you procrastinate?
A question for me.
And following on from the theme of perfectionism last month, don’t worry if you don’t have something for each of the 3 points - just comment on 1 at a time.
Remember, we’re all striving to live mindfully here, which means there’s no judgement.
Sending love and gratitude that your requests for a theme on procrastination has taught me a few things too,
Lucy x
